I wouldn't let them nigh the ferrets because as you said they are carnivores and it only takes a moment for a guinea pig to become seriously hurt. True cat and domestic dog I wouldn't let them near either but because (again) information technology only takes the true cat to swipe at them or the dog to hand them too roughly and a piggy could be seriously injured- I'one thousand non trying to label your pets every bit republic of guinea grunter murderers tho I have a canis familiaris besides who isn't allowed near them though I've let her sniff him whilst in my manus or through the muzzle confined. Guinea pigs with rabbits isn't advised because they carry leaner that can be transferred to piggies and ultimately kill them. A few seconds won't injure. My rabbit has briefly sniffed my piggy through the bars during his time outside. I'm not certain most the chinchilla and hedgehog. I would never suggest putting any different animals together fifty-fifty though people call up it'southward fine for a brusk catamenia. Too much tin happen in a few seconds and equally mentioned before rabbits/hamsters/republic of guinea pigs tin can transfer bacteria to each other. Not to mention potential bites.

Only as y'all've said you'll be keeping them separately and separate run fourth dimension etc I'm sure it will be fine, equally long as the run is disinfected between animals

I am planning on adopting a pair of republic of guinea pigs in the future Merely... I've began to wonder whether my current pets are uniform with piggies and if the guinea pigs would be safe around them. I have rabbits, ferrets, cats, chinchillas, a hedgehog, and a canis familiaris. (Information technology'due south quite a zoo at my firm!) All of them are kept in separate enclosures in my room, except for my dog and cat who have complimentary range of the house. The animals in cages get at to the lowest degree an hour of play time exterior of their cages every mean solar day separately. My ferret trio don't seem to bother my chins, rabbits, or hedgehog much and go forth well with my dog and cat. My true cat and canis familiaris don't accept whatever involvement in the small animals either. (My cat has always been the laziest thing. The merely reason why he would ever have a reason to jump up is if I brought out the catnip! My dog is over 10 and her legs aren't exactly the way they used to be.) I've e'er had a budding interest in rats and birds, just I'k always afraid that if I had also many casualty animals with my ferrets that would cause the unfortunate death of them! My republic of guinea pig cage will be an elevated C&C. All of the floortime that my pets accept are in my bathroom or in a secured playpen away from where their cages are kept. If yous have any similar experiences with keeping piggies with other animals or which animals I would absolutely take to keep away from them please feel free to tell me.

Someone like me! I take quite a menagerie! Rabbits, piggies, chinchillas, degus, chickens and dogs, they all accept their own infinite and all is skilful
